Sunday is usually the fun day for children. Pune is a populated city because of being the IT Hub and education capital. The city has less open space but a huge number of high-rise buildings. Children have a lack of open space to play and there is a very less number of playgrounds.

Children staying in Pune have always experienced traffic and the sound of heavy traffic. Maharashtra Bandh has given chance to these children to play on streets which were deserted because the schools, colleges, and offices were closed.

“ We never get an opportunity to play on streets on weekdays, our schools and colleges are closed so we have nothing else to do. We don’t know about the Maratha Reservation but this Bandh has given us joy.” said a kid playing on streets of Guruwar Peth.
