Maharashtra Police News | API, four other policemen suspended in Satara

Satara : NpNews24 Online Maharashtra Police News | During a period when Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil and other senior leaders were in Satara, five notorious criminals escaped from police custody from Aundh police station in Satara. The entire district has been shaken up by this incident. The incident happened on May 9. There have been adverse reactions about the responsibility of the police force and the chief of Satara police took strong action and suspended 5 policemen including an API.

SP Ajay Kumar Bansal has suspended 5 policemen including an API and they will be questioned regarding the incident.

On May 8 and 9, apart from Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, many other ministers were touring Satara district. The police should have remained alert but they were caught napping. The criminals took advantage of the situation and escaped from custody.

People started raising questions about the efficiency of the police force and demanded that the SP should take action against incompetent officials.

Later, the SP went into action mode and suspended five policemen.

API Prashant Badhe has been suspended and in his place, API Dattatraya Darade has been appointed as the in charge official.
