Lively trend of Clicking selfies took for life; 2 dead

Clicking selfies is the new trend among youth nowadays and has become an inseparable part of life of youngsters. But, what the youth should understand is how carelessness about safety regarding such can take their life.

The craziness among youth and neglecting their safety while clicking selfies has reached to such an extent people have started putting their life in danger.

In a surprising incident, five young people were sailing on a boat and due to their lack of alertness while clicking selfies, the boat overturned injuring 5 of them and taking lives of two.

The incident took place at Painganga river of Yavatmal at around 9 am on Thursday morning. Among 5, the two who died were below 18 years of age.

These five people were residents of Adilabad, Telangana. They went at Rajur of Zari Tulka to celebrate Muharram festival.

According to police, “They went to take a bath in the river and after seeing the boat they wished to sit and take selfies in that boat. Then they moved ahead for travelling. Later they started enjoying and taking selfies. But suddenly the boat got dis-balanced and all of them sank into water.”

They said that two of them didn’t know how to swim thus they died. Three of them knew swimming well and saved their lives. Local people have admitted them to hospital. And, one’s condition is still very critical.

They were from Adilabad.  Their families who went to Rajur every year to celebrate Muharram, on the occasion of Muharram is in deep sadness now.

Youngsters should understand that selfies might be important, but not at the cost of their lives. To get just a mere likes from friend circles on social media, they must not put their lives in danger.
