Dr Pradeep Kurulkar Case | Court asks ATS to specify difference between polygraph test and voice layer analysis test

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Dr Pradeep Kurulkar Case | The special court has asked the Anti Terrorism Squad to specify the difference between polygraph test and voice layer analysis test in the Dr Pradeep Kurulkar case. The next hearing will take place on June 30.

The ATS made a demand in the court (June 26) that it should be permitted to conduct the test. The court wanted to know what is voice layer test and what is the difference between polygraph test and the voice layer analysis test.

Since ATS officers could not give a satisfactory reply, the court asked the ATS to explain the difference between the tests before the next hearing takes place.

Dr Kurulkar was arrested on May 4 after he was accused of supplying sensitive information to Pakistani spies. He is in judicial custody. Since his custody ended on June 25, there was a hearing in the court.

Meanwhile, the ATS made a demand in the court to carry out polygraph test and voice layer and analysis test of Dr Kurulkar since he was not cooperating during the probe.

Hence, the ATS had submitted an application in the court. On Monday, Special Public Prosecutor Vijay Fargade demanded that the ATS wanted to conduct tests. The court asked officials what the voice layer analysis test was and why it was carried out. The court asked whether such a test had been carried out earlier.

Dr Kurulkar has refused to undergo the two tests and the defence lawyer said that he will oppose the conduct of these tests.
