Decline in infection rate since last 2 weeks, 50% people still do not wear masks

New Delhi : The corona epidemic crisis continues in the country. From the Center to the State Government, all are doing everything possible to provide relief to the people at their own level. At the same time, the Health Ministry is also continuously informing people about the condition of corona in the country. In this series, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Lav Aggarwal said that 69 percent of the total active cases of the country are in only 8 states. There are 21 states where the number of daily recovery cases is more than new cases. He said that after the coronavirus infection rate continued to rise for ten weeks, the infection rate has started to decrease for the last two weeks. Lav Aggarwal said that the infection rate in seven states is more than 25 percent while the infection rate in 22 states is more than 15 percent.

Aggarwal said that on May 3, the active cases across the country were 17.13 per cent, now they are down to 12.1 per cent. The recovery rate has increased from 81.7 percent to 86.7 percent. When compared to active cases and recovery cases in the last 10 days, 9 out of 10 days, more cases of recovery were reported. He said that 2,76,000 cases have been reported across the country in the last 24 hours. He said that till now around 18 crore corona vaccine doses have been given in the entire country. So far, about 70 lakh doses have been given to people between 18-44 years old.

50 percent of people still don’t wear masks: Government
The Health Ministry said that according to a study, 50 percent of people still do not wear masks and 64 percent are those who only cover their mouth but not their nose.
