Dalit demanded wages; crushed to death in Thresher machine

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- In a bizarre incident, a Dalit labour named Mannu Tanti was brutally murdered in a thresher machine of wheat by some rowdy people of the village, when he demanded his wages of four days.

This shocking incident took place in Kharara village of Lakhisaray district, in Bihar. The most surprising fact is that neither any media covered this news nor raised a question over such kind of brutality.

Arun Khote, who is associated with the Dalit media watch team gave information about this whole incident to Basit Sheikh of ‘Pune Samachar’ and said that the silence of media on such cruelty and dreadful murder is shameful.

The media which highlighted the car accident of actress Hema Malini, didn’t even bother to cover such heinous act.

Thanks to the people who shared this incident on social media because without them the incident might not have come into light.

He said, ‘How can we live in such inhuman and violent society? Nobody can ever understand what a Dalit has to go through each day and tolerate the injustice of society, just because he/she is a Dalit. Now, a Dalit got crushed in thresher machine just because he demanded his wages which is beyond the limits of tolerating our so-called ‘cultures’ of society.’

He further expressed that it is inhumane because no man can bear such injustice. It is only the Dalits who are tolerating but they don’t realize that we are also human beings.  He said that, human beings like us force ourselves to live a life of lower class as the others can’t do much of hard work.

If the Dalits decide, they can beat opponents very easily, and then no one can even dare to look into the eyes of a Dalit. But instead,  Dalits have surrendered themselves. That is why such evil men dare to do such kind of inhuman acts.
