Chafekar Bandhu Smarak | Funds of ₹41 crore would be provided for memorial of Chapekar Brothers in Pimpri Chinchwad, says CM Eknath Shinde
MUMBAI : Chafekar Bandhu Smarak | Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that funds of ₹41 crore would be made available for the completion of the memorial of Chapekar Brothers in Pimpri Chinchwad.
The chief minister was speaking at a meeting held at the Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai to take an overview of the memorial project. MP Shrirang Barne, MLA Ashwini Jagtap, Municipal Commissioner of PCMC Shekhar Singh, Girish Prabhune of Krantiveer Chapekar Smarak Samiti and other dignitaries were present.
Shinde said that the required funds would be provided to ensure timely completion of the memorial and the PCMC should immediately send a proposal to the state government.
Prabhune spoke about the work which has been done by the Smarak Samiti. He said that PM Narendra Modi had been invited to inaugurate the memorial and he had agreed to come for the function.
Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh gave a presentation of the work of the memorial done so far.
