Siddhi panel wins Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya Trust elections; Rajesh Shah elected trustee for second consecutive term

Mumbai: NpNews24 Online  –  Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya Trust | All five candidates of the Siddhi panel were elected in the national elections of the Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya Trust, Mumbai. The election was held for the period of 2023-2028.

This was revealed by Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya Director Yuvaraj Shaha in a press release issued here on Saturday.

The elected candidates of the Siddhi panel are Anitaben Mehta from Ahmedabad, Prakashbhai Shah from Mumbai, Kamleshbhai Vikasen, Virendra Shah and Rajesh Shah from Pune.

Rajesh Shah has been elected as the trustee for the second consecutive term, which is a recognition of his work. Rajesh Shah was recently honoured with the Vyapar Bhushan award by Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bains. He has also received the Jamanalal Bajaj Uchit Vyapar award thrice in 1994, 1999 and 2016. He has also been honoured with awards such as Samaj Bhushan, Vyapar Bhushan, Adarsh Vyapari, etc.

Rajesh Shah is the Chairman of the Poona Gujarati Kelvani Mandal, the Chairman of HV Desai College, Chairman of PGKM Vidyadham, President of HV Desai Eye Hospital, Managing Trustee of the Poona Gujarati Bandhu Samaj, Trustee of Poona Hospital and Treasurer of Janseva Foundation.

Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya Trust is 108 years old. It was established in 1915. It runs 12 hostels across the country for around 3,000 students, who are provided quality accommodation and food at a very reasonable cost. Financial assistance is given to students studying abroad. The atmosphere in these hostels is very conducive for studies. Torrent Group Director Sudhirbhai Mehta is the President of the Trust.
