Pune Crime News | Action under MCOCA taken against Papulya Waghmare gang

PUNE : Pune Crime News | Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaar has taken action against five accused in an attempt to murder case registered at the Warje Malwadi police station under MCOCA. Meanwhile, one of the accused, Papulya alias Digvijay Waghmare (19), a resident of Warje Malwadi, had vandalised vehicles in Warje Malwadi area.

 

MCOCA action has been taken against Papulya alias Digvijay Tukaram Waghmare (19), a resident of Warje Malwadi, Rahul Vitthal Wanjale (24), a resident of Pune, Maroti alias Martya Pandya Tokalwad (19), a resident of Warje, Harshad alias Babya Santosh Wanjavade (19), a resident of Warje Gaothan, Nandya (wanted accused) and a minor.

 

Meanwhile, Papulya Waghmare and his aides vandalised four-wheelers and two-wheelers in lane number seven, opposite Axis Bank ATM in Karve Nagar area. Anup Ananta Walunkar (28), a resident of Karve Nagar, has lodged a complaint. The police have apprehended Papulya alias Digvijay Tukaram Waghmare and five others.
Papulya Waghmare has formed a gang and terrorised different areas. To ensure supremacy of his gang and continue the reign of terror, he has regularly committed crimes. Chargesheets have been submitted in the courts.

 

The Warje Malwadi police have submitted a proposal to Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil through senior officers that action should be taken under MCOCA against Papulya Waghmare. The proposal was approved. Action has been taken against the Papulya Waghmare gang under MCOCA. ACP Bhimrao Tele is conducting the further probe.
