Bus driver killed on the spot in accident involving private bus and container on Mumbai-Pune expressway
Raigad : NpNews24 Online – Mumbai-Pune Expressway Accident | A terrible accident took place in the Bor ghat section on the Mumbai-Pune expressway at Khopoli in Raigad district. The horrific accident took place on the Mumbai-bound lane. The accident was so terrible that the driver of the bus died on the spot. The private bus carrying a a wedding party was coming from Sindhudurg district. The accident took place when the bus was hit by a container coming from behind. (Mumbai-Pune Expressway Accident)
There were 35 passengers in this bus. Three passengers were seriously injured. One of them was stated to be critical.
Traffic on the highway was completely disrupted. The Devdoot system, IRB system, Highway Traffic Police and Khopoli Police rushed to the spot for rescue operations. The injured were undergoing treatment at Khopoli Hospital.
