Ahmednagar: 8 persons killed, 15 injured in bus-truck collision

Ahmednagar: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE – In a major accident, eight persons were killed while 15 others sustained serious injuries, in an accident between bus and truck on the Pune-Ahmednagar highway.

The accident happened at Vadegavhan phata in Parner taluka of Ahmednagar district.

According to police, the incident took place around 5.30 am today morning. The Bhavna travels bus was going from Aurangabad to Pune.

A truck carrying iron rods was ahead of the bus. While trying to overtake the truck, the bus hit it from behind. The impact of the collision was such that the front portion of the bus was badly damaged. The passengers who were in deep sleep were bolte by the accident.
