The vehicle fell down in the canal, the driver died and five injured

Hit and Run took his life

PUNE: NP NEWS ONLINE-  In a strange incident, A drunken car driver was returning from the Alibaug hits a two-wheeler and immediately ran from the spot but fell down in the canal as he lost his control over the vehicle and which took his life too.

Other five youths were injured in this accident and now they have been admitted in Panvel’s  MGM Hospital. This incident was happened on the late night of Sundays at around 11:45 pm at Ambegaon near Pen.

The car driver Vishal died at the spot and The names of the injured people are as – Riki Ramkrishna Agrawal (35 year old), Mayur Naresh Agrawal (25 year old), Shivam Naresh Agrawal (18 year old), Anil Vinod Agrawal (24 year old) and Shivkumar Siyaram Prajapati (24 year old). All of them are resident of Bhosari, Pune.

The two-wheeler driver name is Nitin Kashinath Vetal, a resident of Hatvane, Pune. He was also seriously injured in this accident.

The more information about the incident from Police is like -The youths from the Bhosari went to Alibaugh for enjoying the Sunday. They leave the spot very late and all of them were in drunken condition while returning from the Bhosari.

Firstly, their car dashed on a motorcycle near Ambegaon. The motorist fell down and got injured in this accident. All of them were scared of the accident and ran from the spot very fast, instead of helping the injured motorist. But while running from the spot, the car driver Vishal didn’t see the turn, which was just 200 meters ahead of them. He didn’t realize it in hurry and because of darkness and finally fell down in the canal by losing control over their car.

The Kalpesh Thakur and Mayur Patil were passing from the accident spot, immediately they started rescuing people with help of other people and Police.

The Pen Police station’s Police Inspector Dhanaji Kshirsagar along with his team reached at spot, as soon as they got the information about the incident. Firstly, injured people were admitted to a hospital in Pen and then shifted to  MGM Hospital at Panvel.

“The relatives of the injured people have not reach to hospital till yet, so we don’t have more information about them,” said by Police Inspector Dhanaji Kshirsagar. Pen Police are doing further investigation.
