After breakup, youth fires in air outside ex-girlfriend’s college hostel

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE:  PUNE:  A 23-year-old youth allegedly fired three rounds in the air after breakup with his girlfriend. After that he tried to commit suicide, after jumping from the third floor.

According to police, the incident took place on Monday night in Baner. Police have identified the youth as Suraj Soni, a resident of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh. He wanted to speak to his girlfriend and when she refused, he fired three rounds in the air from his pistol. After hearing the gunshots, other girls came out of their rooms. Soni soon after jump from the third floor.

He is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital. Pune city police’s Chatushrungi police station is further investigating the case.
