A man who raped and murdered a girl in Dhayari arrested

Pune: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE –  Within 24 hours Singhgad police have arrested the suspect in the case where a girl was being raped and then murdered at her home. Just like every other sexual harassment case this case also involves a family member. The person who did this was the victim’s maternal uncle. His name is Nitin Damodar.

He took the advantage of the girl when there was not at her place. She was just 17 years old. He after raping her murdered her. When the body was taken for the postmortr=am they found that the girl was raped. But there was no conclusive evidence on that.

The incident though came to light on Thursday evening when her parents returned from work. Her body was found by her father lying on the ground when he came back home. Then, she was immediately rushed to the hospital, but it was too late by then and the doctor declared her dead. This created a panic in Dhayari area.

After the investigation, Police got to know about Nitin. Then they took Nitin in custody. The police actually solved the case within 12 hours.
