362 On-Duty Doctors Found Absent ‘Here’, Leave of Health Workers Cancelled till May 31

Patna : The country is currently going through a difficult period due to Coronavirus. Everyone from the Prime Minister to the country is thanking doctors and health workers at this time. But even in this difficult period of Corona, an embarrassing picture has emerged from Bihar. During the inspection of hospitals here, 362 doctors were found absent from their duties. Meanwhile, in view of the Corona crisis, the state government has canceled the holidays of all employees related to the health sector till March 31.

According to the information received, a case of doctors being absent in Bihar during the Corona crisis has come to light. A surprise inspection of hospitals was conducted by the Health Department in Bihar. In which 362 doctors of state hospitals were not present on their duty. The government has now taken a tough stance on this. A show cause notice has been issued to all these doctors. Along with this, they have been asked to take strict action under the Disaster Management Act 2005 and the Pandemic Law 1897.

The Bihar government has canceled health workers’ holidays till 31 March. According to the Health Department of Bihar, the leave of all health officers, doctors, paramedical and grade 4 employees in Bihar will be canceled till May 31 to maintain health services. However, this does not include pregnancy leave.
