27-year-old software engineer molested in Mundhwa
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The Mundhwa police have registered an FIR against a youth for molesting a 27-year-old software developer who stays with her friends. He tried to molest the girl while being in a naked state. (Pune Crime News)
The accused has been identified as Ajinkya Ramesh Sawant (26), a resident of Lalbaug, Lower Parel, Mumbai. A 27-year-old girl has lodged a complaint. The victim works as a senior software developer in a company located at Yerawada. She stays with her friends in a 3BHK flat in Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa. On April 7, the boyfriend of the victim’s friend, Ajinkya Ramesh came to their flat at 10.30 pm. The victim’s friend introduced her boyfriend to others. They were talking in the balcony and Ajinkya was consuming alcohol. On April 8, at 4.30 am, the victim went to her room to sleep.
At 7.30 am, she realised that someone was touching her. She got up and found that Ajinkya was standing in front of her in a naked condition. He tried to touch her and molested her. The victim immediately left the room and called her friend and later informed the police.
Senior PI of Mundhwa police station Ajit Lakde, PI Pradip Kakade and PSI Pramod Kolekar visited the spot. An FIR of molestation was registered against accused Ajinkya Sawant at the Mundhwa police station. PSI Shivaji Kate is investigating the case.
