Money lender arrested for threatening borrower to return more money
Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime News | The police have arrested a money lender for demanding more money from a lender and sending goons to a lender’s house despite the fact that the lender had returned ₹1.86 lakh on a loan of ₹75,000. (Pune Crime News)
The moneylender has been identified as Vishal Kisan Dhotre (41), a resident of Yerawada.
A 41-year-old resident of Yerawada has lodged a complaint (91/23) at the Vishrantwadi police station. The incident was going on since February 2022.
According to the police, the complainant had borrowed ₹75,000 from Vishal Dhotre on a monthly interest of 10 per cent. He had returned ₹1.86 lakh to Dhotre. However, Dhotre told him to give ₹75,000 by saying that the principal amount was yet to be returned. When the complainant did not give money, goons were sent to his house by Dhotre. The goons abused the complainant and threatened to kill him. The police have arrested the money lender and API Mali is probing the case.
