Major racket of black marketing of petrol and diesel busted; Five people arrested

Pune : NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime News | The Hadapsar police have seized four tankers which contained petrol stolen from petrol companies in Loni Kalbhor and which was meant to be sold in the black market. Goods worth ₹2.27 crore have been seized and five people have been arrested. (Pune Crime News)

 

The accused have been identified as Sunilkumar Prananth Yadav (24), a resident of Hadapsar, Dajiram Laxman Kalel (37), a resident of Hadapsar, Sachin Ramdas Tambe (40) and Shastri Kablu Saroj (48). An FIR has been registered against Sunil Ramdas Tambe (38), a resident of Hadapsar.

Tankers leave the HP terminal at Loni Kalbhor after a refill of petrol and diesel. Some people stop the tankers on the way and take out some litres of petrol and diesel and sell it in the black market. The police came to know that four tankers had been stationed at Laxmi Colony at Hadapsar. The police raided the place and arrested five people.

 

A scale is inserted in the gap between the knobs of the tanker and one of the four locks is pressed. Petrol and diesel start falling below the tanker. A tray is put below the tanker and the fuel is collected and later sold in the black market. Petrol worth ₹29,540 was found in the tankers.
