Woman approached police to seek help against her husband but molested by cop

In a shocking incident, a woman who had approached the police of harassment and ill-treatment against her husband, a police officer instead of registering the case molested and taking cognizance’s of his grievances. Police text her with lured messages and called her repeatedly.

Assistant sub-inspector Ramnath Pawale attached to the Chikali police station. A case of molestation has been registered with the Chikali police station. Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner R K Padmanaman has initiated stringent action and suspended him.

According to police, “On Wednesday (October 11), the woman along with his minor son had approached the police chowk around 11 pm to seek help and protection against her husband who was beaten and manhandled her. It was a bit late and it seems Pawale was at police chowky which falls under the Chikali police station. Such jurisdiction falls under the jurisdiction of Pimpri Chinchwad police Commissionerate. Instead of registering the report and taking cognisance’s of her case, he prefers her to go home.”

He added, “Later, the ASI Pawale started calling the victim and talk lewd and obscene talks. The victim was getting repeated calls from the police officer and next day victim approached the superior and based on the complaint the police registered the case of molestation against ASI Pawale.”

Based on the molestation case registered against the ASI Pawale, the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissioner suspended him.
