Violent Altercation Leaves Pune Youth Injured: Stabbed in Head Over Lingering Dispute

Pune: A longstanding dispute turned violent in Pune’s Ganesh Peth area, resulting in a young man being brutally stabbed in the head with a cutter and sustaining serious injuries. Om Raju Navale, a 19-year-old boy, found himself embroiled in the altercation, which escalated rapidly due to simmering tensions.

Navale lodged a complaint with the Faraskhana Police Station, prompting authorities to initiate legal proceedings against the alleged perpetrators, Kaushik Reddy (21) from Keshavnagar, Mundhwa, and Vedant Naidu (20) from Kasba Peth. The case, registered under IPC sections 324, 323, 504, and 34, sheds light on the alarming rise in interpersonal conflicts gripping the city.

The incident unfolded on Monday night when Navale was engaged in conversation outside his residence. At that time, Reddy and Naidu, with whom he shared a history of animosity, came there and attacked Navale. As per the information, the assailants resorted to violence, attacked Navale with a cutter, and subjected him to a barrage of kicks.

When Navale’s maternal uncle went to settle the dispute, Reddy and Naidu also abused them and threatened him with killing. Faraskhana Police are conducting further investigation into the case.
