Unauthorized Schools In Maharashtra | Lack of Accountability: Maharashtra’s Battle with Unauthorized Schools

Unauthorized Schools In Maharashtra | In a concerning revelation, it has come to light that 417 unauthorized schools continue to operate in Maharashtra without accreditation or permission from the state’s education department. Despite the formation of a special committee by the education commissioner to tackle this issue, the lack of interest and action from education department officials has raised serious questions about their accountability. These unauthorized schools not only jeopardize the quality of education provided but also exploit students and parents through exorbitant fee structures.

Unauthorized Schools Operating Freely:

The presence of unauthorized schools in Maharashtra has been a persistent problem, with 661 such institutions identified by the special committee formed by the education commissioner. These schools have been operating without proper accreditation or recognition, posing a significant risk to the education system in the state. What is more alarming is the fact that many of these schools charge students exorbitant fees, taking advantage of their desperate need for education.

Lack of Interest and Accountability:

Despite the identification of these unauthorized schools, the education department officials have displayed a lack of interest in taking effective action against them. This inaction raises serious concerns about the accountability of these officials and their commitment to ensuring quality education for all. It is disheartening to witness the negligence on the part of authorities responsible for safeguarding the interests of students and maintaining the integrity of the education system.
