The Purity in Cotton-Linen & Giza Fabrics

NP NEWS NETWORK

In the era of changing fashion and trends, Linen is a fabric which is still beating the modern fabrics since ancient times. The cloth itself speaks of its purity. Why is it important to feel and look good? To feel good by wearing right clothes is the need of physical, mental and social well-being. Your clothes must not make you think twice before wearing it.

Clothing admirers already know the fact that “first impression is the last impression” because the right kind of clothing beautifies your appearance and look which Linen and Giza makes possible. Fabrics like Linen and Giza gives you an authentic look. Those who have a good clothing sense support this fact by wearing best outfits which help them walk to the successful life.

Both the fabrics Linen and Giza are made organically from the plant threads.

To get a practical understanding of the cloth, Linen Vogue owner, Sanjay Rangad,  has shared his views on the trend

  1. Customers come with their demands regarding perfection of the outfit like few inches short/long, low/high. How do you satisfy them with your work if possibility of mistakes is always there?

We try our best to make them feel comfortable with our work and the customers receiving our tailored outfit rarely get disappointed but sometimes I face difficulties when some people revert with any complain, like one of my friend once bought tailored set of pants and shirt. He was okay with our work. He came back to us with a droopy face complaining about the lack of proper fitting of the cloth “I tried this at home and my wife said it was supposed to be like fit enough”. So somehow I have to make my customers satisfied and place a solution.

  1. As we know Linen fabrics are costly and hence to be able to custom it perfectly in one go is your benefit. But what if you are compelled to alter it multiple times?

Modifying the same linen or Giza material again is a challenge. Because generally people come to us, when they handover the dress to the local press where someone is allowed to ruin the high quality fabric with its heavy ironing for long with undetermined temperature. And splashing water time-to-time to vanish the wrinkle is another stupidity. We cannot reshape that unprofessional-ism. But we are here for quality service and always try to see the positive side.

  1. Have you ever blamed for your default defective fabrics?

There is very least possibility of defectiveness as we import our fabrics i.e.; Linen and Giza from Mumbai which is the house of 100% authentic material. Actually, both fabrics come from Europe and Egypt who are the main suppliers throughout the year.

  1. Everyone seek for good quality products and in country like India which holds a huge market there are possibilities of being looted.  How do you deal with the availability of fake fabrics that are prevalent under the image of authenticity?

The person who seek for real authentic fabric(s) and aware of market-run, he/she is qualified to get the best result. Whereas some people who are unaware from its history, qualities, benefits and many aspects, they enter into the ordinary market which is occupied by a large percentage across India. You can find many dealers, shopkeepers and suppliers who will provide you the cheap-duplicate fabric in the name of authenticity which costs 40%-80% cheaper than us and assure you by saying 100% replacement if any defect found. If you are smart enough then you must know about Linen & Giza fabrics that chances of defective issue in real fabrics are very less almost negligible.

  1. What percentage of buyers you have in your city?

Every city has at least one Linen Vogue store. Pune has two, as it becomes the latest fashion hub of the country. People across the country come here to do business, study, job and help in making it a diverse city where Linen Vogue unites them with similar authentic looks. We call them premium customers. And with premium quality fabrics we have 5% to 1% of limited customers which are fair enough for our business because building trust of our customers is or first priority rather than making money.

  1. Does the implementation of GST by the government affecting your business?

I have been in this business for past 10 years and have seen many ups and downs. But here I want to mention that the GST implementation didn’t affect my business. Only it does affect me by showing the collective tax that was imposed before.

  1. You have mentioned your past life. What made you choose to enter into this business?

I was working in a medical industry where we do business of X-Ray films and suddenly I got hit by the idea of fabric business when I was in a tour of Egypt. After observing the quality of Giza fabric, I understood how reliable the fabric is for the fashion as well as health. I invested Rs.25 lakhs on the start-up. History related to it made me think deeper to provide our people good quality fabrics. From Queen Cleopatra to Shivaji Maharaj all were influenced well with its quality. However, an initiative was takenpreviously in India but Pune was lacking it.

Linen is considered as light but strong fabric while Giza gives you the look of king. Wearing these in your life at least once, one can get an experience of royal feeling.

Historical connection which will let you know the quality of the cloth since ancient times:

During the middle ages, Linen was used in the shields by warriors to fight battle. It was due to the enormous strength possessed by the fiber. Linen is also mentioned in the Bible depicts the Viginia’s purity to be as pure as linen. It also mentions that angels wear linen. Also the Old Testament of Bible depicts the attire of Adam and Eve as the ‘linen robe of light’. After taking bath every day, Cleopatra used to rest in a linen pillowed bed filled with flax seeds. This was her secret beauty enhancing technique.

Also, history has termed linen as the “Timeless Fabric” Scientists have discovered that a sheet of linen can stay structurally new for 6000 years. Other than history, today also, in Irish wedding, the bride carries a piece of linen cloth known as the magic hanky, which is a symbol of enormous fortune and timelessness of generations.
