Teacher booked for giving clumsy haircut to 10 yr old student

The Vishrantwadi police station has booked a teacher of the Pune International School and Junior College, Tingarenagar, for allegedly giving clumsy haircut to a class VI student, which made him the butt of his classmates’ joke. The teacher had earlier reprimanded him for letting his hair grow out in June and had made a small ponytail with rubber band.

Based on complaint from the mother of the boy, police have registered FIR against his class teacher Shweta Gupta. They have been booked for offences under various sections of the Juvenile Justice Act.

As per the FIR, the incident took place on July 17. The teacher snip his hair unevenly sue to which other students started making fun of him. After coming home, he informed his mother and refused to go to school again. He had to be taken to a counselor. Her mother had given complaint to police and the case was registered on Tuesday.

Police officials said that the teacher has been suspended by the school management.
