Before acting, Anil Kapoor was a ‘Jhakaas’ dancer

Anil Kapoor again became the topic of discussion witnessing for the upcoming film ‘Fanney Khan’. To promote the film he went to the set of the reality show ‘Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani 2’. On the set, he discussed stories of his past life.

During the discussion, he shared moments of his days of struggle “most of the people don’t know that I’ve started my career as a background dancer. I’ve played small roles in hindi, telgu and kannada. “He didn’t get work from anywhere even after his completion of acting course” he added. After facing many rejections finally there was a need of a background dancer in an event shoot. I went to that show as a background dancer where I got 15 pounds which is around the Rs. 1355 now but at that time it was of very low cost.

After being in screen for many small roles, started career as an actor after getting lead role in the 1983 film “Woh Saat Din”. “I’m thankful to all who gave me opportunities” he added.
