Set aside internal differences, focus on Mission 45: Fadnavis tells leaders in Maha Yuti

Baramati: Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis held two important meetings to resolve differences with the Maha Yuti partners.

He held a meeting with Ajit Pawar and Harshvardhan Patil to sort out issues in the Baramati Lok Sabha constituency. He also held parleys with Ram Shinde, Sujay Vikhe Patil and Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil over Ahmednagar South seat. The issues have been resolved at the party level, said sources.

They said that talks went on till late in the night at Sagar Bungalow to solve issues in Baramati. Fadnavis and Patil held discussion for over two hours. Harshvardhan Patil refused to comment whether differences have been resolved. So, it is still not clear whether they are really solved.

Fadnavis directive

It was learnt that Devendra Fadnavis told the leaders that they would have to set aside differences and focus on Mission 45. Internal differences should not adversely affect the Maha Yuti candidates, they were told.

Vijay Shivtare has put his foot down over the Baramati Lok Sabha candidature. However, he is likely to face disciplinary action by his party Shiv Sena (BT). It was learnt that CM Shinde has given directions in this regard. Because the Maha Yuti has decided to field Sunetra Pawar from Baramati. That means Shiv Sena (BT), being a constituent, has supported her candidature. In this situation, if Shivtare decides to fight as an independent candidate, it becomes party indiscipline.

Meanwhile, Shivtare will visit Bhor on Wednesday and Indapur on Saturday. It remains to be seen whether he meets Harshvardhan Patil on Saturday.
