Satara Crime News | Bullock killed in Satara

npnews24 – Satara : A young farmer at Sartale village in Javali taluka of Satara district killed his bullock for a strange reason. He took the bullock trained for bullock-cart races at an isolated spot and cut its throat with a knife.

He had bought the bullock for bullock-cart races. However, it was injured in a road accident. The farmer was reluctant to take care of the injured animal. Therefore, he killed the bullock. He was arrested by the police and further investigation was on.

The culprit was identified as Kumar Prakash Padwal and was a resident of Kumbharwadi village in Wai taluka of the district. He had purchased the animal from the animal market in Bhor. The bullock was injured after a vehicle hit it when the farmer was on his way home after purchasing it. He was worried that he would have to take care of the injured animal. Hence, he took him to an isolated spot near Sartale village in Javali taluka.

He confirmed that there was no one around before he tied the innocent animal to a tree and cut its throat with a knife. The next moment, the bullock was lying in a pool of blood. The culprit escaped in the vehicle used for transporting the animal. The Medha police filed a case after the crime came to light. The culprit was arrested after six days of investigation.

The police impounded the vehicle used in the crime. Villagers were expressing sadness as the animal was killed merely because it was injured in an accident. The Medha police were investigating the case further.
