Sarada Chit fund: CBI summons Bengal minister Partha Chatterjee

NPnews24 Online, Kolkata: Central Bureau of Investigation has summoned West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee for questioning in the Saradha chit fund scam. According to the source, Partha was summoned and asked to join the ongoing investigation into the multi-crore scam.

But Partha has not appeared before the CBI. Partha also the editor of Jago Bangla, a mouthpiece of the Trinamool Congress. Senior Trinamool Congress leader, including sitting ministers have been named in the Sarada Chit fund scam.

In the past few years, TMC heavyweights Madan Mitra and Sudip Bandyopadhyay have been arrested and agencies have summoned at least 10 other TMC leaders.
