4,122 Talathi posts to be filled in the state
Mumbai : NpNews24 Online – Recruitment In Revenue Department Maharashtra | Recruitment for 4,122 posts of Talathi in the state will be done through the revenue department. This includes 1,012 vacant posts and 3,110 newly created posts. Procedures in this regard have been initiated by the revenue department and the divisional commissioners have been instructed by the state’s desk officer Shreekant Mohite to send district-wise details in the next 15 days. The posts of Talathis for the revenue department are vacant in a large number. At present, there is a ratio of one talathi for three to four villages. Therefore, instructions have been given through the revenue department to make recruitment soon. As there are no talathis for many villages, it has created a big problem at the village level and the services available to the people from the gram panchayats. The demand for filling up the vacant posts of talathis was made to the government many times on behalf of the State Talathi Sangh. The government has now responded to it. So, 4,122 posts will be filled soon.
Out of 4122 posts, the division-wise distribution is as follows – 1,035 in Nashik division, 847 in Aurangabad division, 731 in Konkan division, 580 in Nagpur division, 183 in Amravati division and 746 in Pune division. Recruitment for all of these will start soon. At the same time by validating the list of points from backward classes, the details of social reservation, parallel reservation in that regard have been sought district wise.
