Pune: Students have exhibited their artistic and innovative designs at Aura 2024, an exhibition organized by the Pune Institute of Applied Technology of Suryadatta Education Foundation. This exhibition is organized by Suryadatta every year to give a platform for the students to showcase their talent and appreciate the work done by them throughout the year. This was the 18th year of the exhibition & this year, the silver jubilee movement of the Suryadatta was shown through the concept of ‘Zaroka’. This concept was realized from waste materials.

Recently, the exhibition was inaugurated at the hands of renowned personalities like Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder Chairman of Suryadatta Education Foundation, Abhijit Dhondphale, Sculpture artist, Architect Mahesh Bangad, Ravindra Malwadkar, Adv. Pandurang Thorave, Prasanna Patil, Subhash Kankaria, Rajkumar Surana, Prof. Ajit Shinde, Principal of PIAT, and others. The students depicted the curriculum work as well as home decoration items, infrastructure, use of the latest technology, plastic-free environment, beautiful city, green city, energy options, and disaster management through sculptures and handicrafts.

If an artist’s work is encouraged and properly remunerated, he can produce even better. At the college level, students should be allowed to get hands-on experience on an apprentice or salaried basis. Students should work on innovative, artistic, and sustainable development ideas by understanding the past and their values. Along with this, priority should be given to preserving our cultural heritage, mentioned Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordia.

This exhibition is very beautifully designed and the hard work they have done for it is visible. Along with teaching the curriculum, students are encouraged to gain self-reliance, and hands-on experience for their overall development. For the last two decades, this exhibition has become popular with the initiative and creativity of children. This leads to the placement of children, he added.

Abhijit Dhondphale said that such vocational courses should be included in the skill development program. It is necessary to make the habit of earning students while studying. Exhibitions like ‘AURA’, encourage creativity and out-of-the-box thinking among students.

Mahesh Bangad also congratulated the students for their commendable work done throughout the year. Prof. Ajit Shinde gave the opening remarks and briefed about the exhibition. Ayush Pokarna and Dipika Patel compared the program. Pallavi Purandare, Aniket Naikare, Amit Jagdale, and Rutuja Mane took the efforts to success the exhibition.
