Pune : Rs 10 lakhs cash stolen from ATM of Central Bank of India

Pune : Np News Network – Unidentified thieves have stolen Rs 10 lakhs cash from ATM of Central Bank of India in Sahakarnagar. The incident came to light on Monday afternoon, when the staffs came to replenish cash.

The ATM is located on the premises of Winkar Hall in Sahakarnagar. The shutter of the ATM was down for two days.

Around 4 pm on Monday, when the staffers came to refill the ATM, they found that someone had cut open the machine with help of gas cutter and decamped with Rs 10 lakhs cash.

Police officials said that the accused persons had cut the electricity supply to the ATM, hence they were not caught on CCTV camera.

After the incident came to light, Crime Branch ACP Sameer Shaikh and officials from Sahakarnagar police station visited the spot. Police are collecting CCTV footages of the area to get clue about the thieves.
