Pune News | Thousands witness Dahi-Handi celebrations of prestigious Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and Guruji Talim Mandal

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune News | The Dahi-Handi celebration jointly organised by the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and the Guruji Talim Mandal attracted thousands of Puneites. (Pune News)
The atmosphere was charged with devotion. It was coupled with attractive illumination and beautiful melodies played by DJs, which regaled young and old alike on Thursday.
The prestigious Dahi-Handi was broken by the Ganesh Mitra Mandal Dahi-Handi Sangh, Kasba Peth at 9.45 pm on Thursday.
The annual celebration was jointly organised by the Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust and the Guruji Talim Mandal. The Dahi-Handi was tied to a sparkling chandelier near the Guruji Talim Mandal office on Laxmi road. The LED light effects made it stand out prominently. Thousands of youths and children danced to the tunes played by the DJs.
Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati Trust Member and Celebration Chief Punit Balan, Guruji Talim Mandal President Pravin Pardeshi, RMD Group President Janhavi Dhariwal-Balan, famous Music Composer duo Ajay-Atul, actors Pravin Tarde and Esshanya Maheshwari, Daya Bhai of Mulshi Pattern, DJs Tapeshwari and Akhil Talreja, and other artistes and star sports persons were present. The Ganesh Mitra Mandal Dahi-Handi Sangh, Kasba Peth broke the pitcher filled with curds and goodies at 9.45 pm and won the prize and the trophy.
Speaking on the occasion, Celebration Chief Punit Balan said, “The festival has brought joy to all those present here.” Following the breaking of Dahi-Handi, youths again started dancing to the numbers played by the DJs. Thus, the festival was concluded.
