Pune News : RTI activist Ravindra Barhate’s son arrested by Crime Branch

Pune : The son of Right to Information (RTI) activist Ravindra Barhate, who was absconding in the crime of ransom, cheating and MCOCA, was arrested by the Pune Crime Branch Police on Thursday evening. Information about this has been given by a reliable source. Pune’s Crime Branch police arrested Ravindra Barhate’s wife Sangeeta Barhate on Wednesday evening. After that the police arrested Barhate’s son Mayuresh Ravindra Barhate on Thursday. This has caused an uproar.

A case has been registered against Ravindra Barhate and his other accomplices in the miscellaneous police station of the city in the case of ransom, cheating. In this, some people have more than one serious case. Those against whom the case has been registered include suspended police Shailesh Jagtap, journalist Devendra Jain, Sangli’s Sanjay Bhokre, Jayesh Jagtap, Parvez Jamadar and others. Some people were arrested by the Pune Police after the FIR was registered in the case of ransom and cheating. Ravindra Barhate is absconding for several months.

Pune Police is searching for him on a war footing. Meanwhile, the police got information about Barhate being in touch with his wife. After that the Crime Branch police arrested Barhate’s wife Sangeeta Barhate on Wednesday evening. Police also got information about Mayuresh Barhate coming in contact with Ravindra Barhate. For his detailed and other investigations, the Crime Branch police arrested Mayuresh Barhate on Thursday evening.
