The girl’s mother has lodged a complaint at the Sahakar Nagar police station. The police have filed a case under POCSO Act against Ganesh More (21), a resident of Gultekdi. The incident had happened on December 19, 2021.
According to the police, Ganesh More promised to marry the complainant’s daughter and took her on a bike to a vacant bungalow near the Taljai temple in the jungle. He forcefully established sexual relations with her. Later, he repeated the act in the jungle in Shivapur across the Katraj ghat. Later, he refused to marry her. The girl was devastated. Hence, she set herself on fire after pouring kerosene on herself. PSI Valkoli is investigating the case.
