Pune Crime | Man kills elder brother for blocking way to farm in Baramati taluka
Baramati : NpNews24 Online – Pune Crime | A man killed his elder brother after assaulting him with an axe for blocking the path to his farm, in Modhve village in Baramati taluka. The incident took place on Friday (August 12) at 2.30 pm. The younger brother has been seriously injured and he is being treated in a hospital. (Pune Crime)
The deceased has been identified as Tayappa Soma Mote, a resident of Modhve, Baramati taluka. Tayappa’s daughter-in-law Laxmi Mahadev Mote (37) has lodged a complaint at the Vadgaon Nimbalkar police station. Rama Soma Mote has been injured and the police have filed an FIR against him.
According to the police, Tayappa Mote asked his younger brother Rama why he had placed wooden logs on the path leading to the farm. There was a heated argument between them. Rama Mote abused his brother Tayappa and warned him not to use the road. He also threatened Tayappa that he would kill him and argued with him. Both Rama and Tayappa started assaulting each other with axes. Rama hit Tayappa’s head with an axe and he died on the spot. Rama has suffered serious injuries on his legs.
After the police were informed about the incident, Sub Divisional Police Officer Ganesh Ingle and API Somnath Lande visited the spot. The accused Rama is seriously injured and he is undergoing treatment in the ICU of a private hospital in Baramati. The Vadgaon Nimbalkar police are investigating the case.
