Solapur Crime | Harassed by wife, young businessman commits suicide in Barshi

Solapur : NpNews24 Online  – Solapur Crime | Fed up with harassment meted out by his wife, a young mandap contractor committed suicide. The incident took place in Barshi taluka of Solapur district. The victim has been identified as Santosh Gaikwad. (Solapur Crime)

According to the police, Santosh had a mandap decoration business. He ended life at his office by hanging himself to the ceiling fan. He sent messages to his friends before taking the extreme step. He explained the reason for his committing suicide. He blamed his wife, father-in-law and sister-in-law.

Gaikwad’s suicide note

In his suicide note, Gaikwad said, ‘This is my final good bye to you all…I am taking this decision due to the tension caused by my wife…I was living under a lots of pressure for the past eight months. I could not sustain it. You have always helped me. Please continue to help my children, which will be a true tribute to me. I blame only my wife for this…I was a big obstacle in her life. You (Anuradha Gaikwad) would pretend to mourn my death for a few days…Payal and Viraj, please stay with your mother…Payal, please forgive me. Kids, my last greetings to you.’

He said it was his decision to end life. He asked not to hold anyone responsible for this. He said it was his wife’s and in-laws’ wish. ‘I was harassed by my mother-in-law, sister-in-law (Renuka Sakhare) and wife. It was their wish that I commit suicide. Your..(Santosh Gaikwad)’, stated the note.
