Pune: Maratha organisations hold protest morcha in Pimpri

Pune : NpNews24 Online – Pune News | The Maratha Kranti Morcha and the Maratha community have issued a call for Pimpri Chinchwad bandh on Saturday. A protest morcha was taken out to protest against the lathicharge on agitators of Maratha Kranti Morcha. Many members of Maratha community took part in the morcha. Leaders of all parties and various organisations had supported the morcha. (Pune News)

Activists and office-bearers of all parties were present. Activists of Ajit Pawar faction of NCP also took part in the morcha. The morcha was organised to protest against the lathicharge on the agitators of Maratha Kranti Morcha at Jalna.

The activists raised slogans demanding reservation for the Maratha community. The morcha started from the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and it passed through Delux Chowk, Pimpri market and ended at Dr Ambedkar Chowk. There was adequate police bandobast to prevent any untoward incident.
