Many people lost jobs. Joblessness and indebtedness has driven many to commit suicide.
A youth in Pune committed suicide as he lost his job. The victim has been identified as Datta Pushilkar, a resident of Keshav Nagar, Mundhwa.
Pushilkar was working as a life guard at the Nande swimming tank. Swimming pools in the city have remained closed during the pandemic. He lost his job and went into depression in 2020. Disputes in the family due to worsening a financial condition led to more problems. Then he took the extreme step.
