Office-bearer of a big party, former corporator booked in Rs 15-crore cheating case

NpNews24 Online  – Pune Crime | The Chandan Nagar police have booked a BJP office-bearer and former corporator for bungling Rs 15 crore by selling a land plot on behalf of a company. He allegedly sold the land without informing the company. (Pune Crime)

 

The accused has been identified as Ramkrishna Govind Pillai alias Rajesh Pillai (52), a resident of Pimpri. Sanjay Dayanand Osarmal (39) lodged a complaint at the Chandan Nagar police station in this regard. The incident relates to a land at Charholi Budruk. It happened between February 5, 2019 and May 2022. (Pune Crime)

 

According to the police, Brahmacorp Ltd belongs to Ramkumar Agarwal, who is its director. Pillai was working as the principal agent on the firm’s behalf. He sold 95 R land at Charholi Budruk to Santosh Sopanrao Landge and Dhananjay Hanmant Landge, both from Pimpri, without informing Agarwal. He breached the company’s trust and misappropriated Rs 15 crore.
