Pune Crime News | Man cheats nine youths of ₹29 lakh under the guise of providing them jobs in the army
PUNE : Pune Crime News | An incident has been reported wherein a man cheated nine youths of ₹28.88 lakh by promising to get them jobs in Indian Army and wearing army uniform and telling them that he knew senior miliary officials. The youths who have been cheated, hail from Pune, Dhule, Sambhaji Nagar and Satara.
The Kondhwa police have registered an FIR against Pramod Bhimrao Yadav (27), a resident of Kondhwa. A 29-year-old resident of Nandgaon in Nashik district has lodged a complaint (637/23) at the Kondhwa police station. The incident took place from September 2022 to June 18, 2023.
According to the police, Pramod Yadav used to tell people that he was an officer in the Indian Army. He used to lure people by telling them that he will get them jobs in Indian Army because he knew senior army officials. The accused took ₹28.88 lakh from youths in Satara, Dhule and Sambhaji Nagar. Since they did not get jobs even after a year, they realised that they had been cheated and lodged a complaint with the police. There is a possibility that Yadav may have cheated some other people and API Babar is probing the case.
