Pune Crime News | CP Retesh Kumaarr takes action against gangster Shirya Waghmare and four others under MCOCA; CP has taken action against 30 gangs so far
PUNE : Pune Crime News | Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against Shirya Waghmare and four others under MCOCA for forming a gang and creating a reign of terror in Uttam Nagar area. An FIR of attempt to murder is registered against the five accused at the Uttam Nagar police station.
MCOCA action has been taken against Shri alias Shirya Ganesh Waghmare (22), a resident of Shivne, Pratik Sanjay Nalawade (24), a resident of Kondhve Dhavde and three minor youths. Shirya Waghmare and Pratik Nalawade had been arrested. At present, they are in judicial custody i.e. Yerawada Jail. One of their minor aides has been apprehended and kept in a remand home.
On May 22, 2023, Shirya Waghmare and his accomplices travelling by three motorcycles, went near the complainant’s house. They said that some youths staying in the area had killed their friend and they would kill the complainant and tried to kill him by using an iron weapon. The complainant was seriously injured. The police have registered an FIR against Shirya Waghmare and his accomplices.
An investigation by the police revealed that Shirya Waghmare had formed his own gang. He committed serious crimes with the help of his aides for his own benefit. The police took preventive action against his gang but it did not help. Hence, the former Sr PI of Uttam Nagar police station and Sr PI of Warje Malwadi police station Sunil Pandurang Jaitapurkar sent a proposal through DCP Suhail Sharma to Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil that action under MCOCA should be taken against the accused.
After the proposal was examined, CP Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against Shirya Waghmare gang under MCOCA. CP Retesh Kumaarr has taken action against 30 criminal gangs under MCOCA after taking charge.
CP Retesh Kumaarr, Joint CP Sandeep Karnik, Addl CP Pravinkumar Patil, DCP Suhail Sharma, ACP Sunil Pawar guided Sr PI Sunil Jaitapurkar, Sr PI Kiran Balwadkar, PI Shabnam Shaikh, API Dadaraje Pawar, API Umesh Rokde, policemen Nangre, Hazare, Pawar, Gaikwad, Padale and Todkar in taking the action.
