Pune Crime News | 37 residents of Lonavla cheated under the guise of Chardham yatra
PUNE : Pune Crime News | An incident of 37 residents of Lonavla being cheated of ₹10 lakh under the guise of a trip to Chardham has come to light. An FIR has been registered the owner of a tourist company based in Pune.
Pradeepkumar Dattatray Mode (55), a resident of Bhangarwadi, Lonavla has lodged a complaint at the Lonavla city police station. An FIR has been registered against Dream Caster Tours owner Sanket Ramchandra Bhadale, a resident of Dhayari. Bhadale has a office in Wadgaon Budruk and he had given an ad for Chardham yatra. Thirty seven people had registered for the yatra. Each of them paid ₹28,000. Later, on May 10, Bhadale informed them that the yatra had been cancelled. When Mode asked him, he was told that the yatra would be organised in June.
Bhadale gave cheques to the people who had paid for the trip but the cheques bounced. After the customers realised that they had been cheated, they contacted Bhadale on the mobile but his mobile was closed. An FIR has been registered in the case. PI Sitaram Dubal is investigating the case.
