Pune Crime News | Desperation for male child leads to killing of twin girls; FIR registered against four including girls’ father
PUNE : Pune Crime News | A pregnant woman was given some pills to ensure that fair babies are born. However, after twin daughters were born, they were fed outside milk while they were sleeping and killed. As per court orders, the Hadapsar police have registered an FIR.
The accused have been identified as the father of deceased girls Atul Babasaheb Suryavanshi, his father Babasaheb Suryavanshi (62), Jayashree Babasaheb Suryavanshi (55), Amol Babasaheb Suryawanshi (26), all resident of Fursungi. Srikrishna Pratap Lobhe (35), a resident of Wagholi, has lodged a complaint (1055/23) at the Hadapsar police station. The incident took place from December 2018 to November 26, 2019 and February 6, 2020.
According to the police, the complainant’s sister Urmila Atul Suryawanshi was mentally harassed and was given various pills to ensure that she gives birth to fair babies. However, she gave birth to twin daughters. After six months, Urmila came to her in-laws’ house with her two daughters. Urmila had fed the girls on November 26, 2019 and put them to sleep but her husband fed outside milk to Siddhi (7 months) and she died. On February 6, 2020, the second daughter Riddhi (9 months) was sleeping. Urmila was forced to work in the kitchen by her mother-in-law and Atul Suryawanshi fed outside milk to his daughter and killed her.
Since the girls were sleeping, the milk entered the respiratory tract and they died of suffocation. The complainant had lodged a complaint with the police but since no action was taken, she had approached the court. As per the court orders, a FIR has been registered. PI Sandip Shivle is probing the case.
Meanwhile, Atul Suryawanshi showed that when the complainant was taking her sister Urmila Suryawanshi in a car, the car was involved in an accident. Urmila Suryawanshi died in the mishap. The complainant has approached the court and a hearing is going on in the case.
