Pune Traffic | Traffic Chaos on Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway as Potholes Bring Vehicles to a Halt

Pune : Pune Traffic | A major traffic disruption has paralyzed the Mumbai-Bangalore National Highway near Pune, causing significant inconvenience to commuters. The situation arose as vehicles were forced to queue up for a staggering three kilometers on the road, resulting in a complete standstill. The primary cause of this traffic jam has been identified as the presence of massive potholes in the Mutha river bridge area.

Located in Vadgaon Budruk, the Mutha Nadi Bridge area has become a bottleneck for motorists, leading to severe congestion on this vital highway. The long lines of vehicles stretch all the way from the river bridge to the new Katraj tunnel, causing frustration among drivers, citizens, workers, and students alike. Moreover, the traffic jam has also impacted the service roads in the surrounding areas of Vadgaon, Dhairi, Narhe, and Ambegaon, rendering them impassable.

The current situation highlights the pressing need for immediate attention from the authorities to address the issue of deteriorating road conditions. The presence of large potholes not only disrupts the smooth flow of traffic but also poses a risk to the safety of commuters. Prompt action is required to repair the road surface and restore the functionality of this crucial highway, enabling a seamless commute for the residents and visitors of Pune.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution and consider alternative routes, if available, until the traffic situation is resolved. Additionally, citizens are encouraged to report road hazards promptly to the concerned authorities to expedite necessary repairs.
