PMC’s General Body approves publishing of draft plan of TP scheme at Uruli Devachi and Fursungi

Pune : NpNews24 OnlinePune Corporation | The General Body of the PMC today gave its approval for publishing of the draft plan of TP scheme to be built on 650 hectares in Uruli Devachi and Fursungi for inviting objections and suggestions. Hence, after 40 years, the PMC has given priority for planned development through TP scheme. After the scheme is implemented in these areas, land will be available for civic amenities like roads, STP, garbage ramp, gardens etc without paying any charges. The facilities will be available for residents of these areas, said BJP group leader Ganesh Bidkar.

The PMC has planned TP schemes on both sides of the 100 metre road going through villages and 65 metre outer ring road. In March 2019, the GB had given its approval for the same. Three TP schemes will be implemented on 650 hectar land. Because of Lok Sabha and assembly elections and the corona pandemic, there had been a delay in the preparation of the project report.

Now, the draft plan is ready and citizens’ objections and suggestions are being invited. After considering the suggestions and objections, suitable changes will be made and after approval by the GB, a report will be sent to the state government for its approval.

The PMC had appointed Design Point Consultant Pvt Ltd as the advisor for the TP scheme. As per the Urban Development Department rules, information about the scheme and the facilities was given to the property owners of the scheme. Citizens have also been advised to collect the required documents.

The width of the ring road has been reduced to 65 metres from earlier 110 metres during the preparation of the development plan of PMRDA. A revised plan of the TP scheme has been prepared by informing the residents and it has been placed in front of the GB on its approval to publish it to invite suggestions and objections. The draft plan of TP scheme 10 of Fursungi will be prepared again.

Businessman DS Kulkarni owns a plot in the scheme but since it is under litigation, it has been excluded. City Engineer Prashant Waghmare said that even after approval of the Urban Development Department, suggestions and objections will be invited on the plan of the TP scheme.

NCP Leader Prashant Jagtap said that the TP scheme which is being implemented in the Baramati constituency will help local residents to get civic amenities. The residents have suffered a lot for 25 to 30 years due to the presence of the garbage depot but their lifestyle will improve after the TP scheme is implemented.

Congress leader Aba Bagul said the presentation of the TP scheme should be made available to all corporators. After the TP scheme, the PMC should not prepare a DP. It will be wrong to take land from the citizens again and the plan should be prepared considering the needs of next 100 years, he added.

Shiv Sena leader Prithivraj Sutar also welcomed the TP scheme and said that everyone should follow it up after objections and suggestions to get it approved.
