Police constable Vinod Ahire sets record by skating 63 kms continuously

Jalgaon : NpNews24 Online  – Maharashtra Police | Police constable Vinod Ahire (44) has set a record by skating 63 kms on the 63rd Police Foundation Day. Ahire has dedicated this record to the martyrs of 26/11 attack and the COVID pandemic. The Maharashtra Police Force (MPF) completed 63 years on January 2. Jalgaon District Police national athlete Vinod Ahire has celebrated the Police Foundation Day by skating 63 kms continuously on the road track at the Police Headquarters. He has become the first police personnel not only in Maharashtra but also in the country to celebrate the Police Foundation Day in such a unique way. He completed the distance of 63 kms in two hours and 26 minutes. At 8:30 am, Addl SP Chandrakant Gawli, Lieutenant Colonel Pawan Kumar of NCC showed the green flag.

 

Chandrakant Gawli said that Vinod Ahire is not only a sportsman but also a poet-writer in the khaki uniform. He has published two books. The Jalgaon District Police Force is proud of him.

Lt Col Pawan Kumar said, in my service so far, I am seeing for the first time a policeman who is also a sportsman, poet and writer. Vinod Ahire is the pride of Jalgaon District Police Force.

 

For the programme, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dere was present as the chief guest. Other dignitaries including Pramod Barate, Police Inspector Dhanwat, Santosh Sonawane, Lieutenant Shivraj Patil, RSI Pawar, API Kiran Pathak, former president of Jalgaon District Lawyers Association Adv Dilip Borse, Farooq Shaikh, NCC cadets from the NM College and officers and their families of Jalgaon District Police Force were present in large numbers.

 

The programme was moderated by Ayaz Mosin, singer Prakash Borse’s team regaled all by singing motivational songs. Palash Shinde and Bajrang Sapkale helped conduct the function. Digambar Mahajan, Dnyaneshwar Pawar, Pramod Ahire, Prafulla Ahire worked hard for the success of the programme.
