Payal Ghosh accuses Anurag Kashyap of lying to police

Mumbai : Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was interrogated by Versova police after a sexual harassment case filed against him by actress Payal Ghosh. He has refused to accept all the allegations. After this, now actress Payal Ghosh has said that Anurag Kashyap has lied to the police while giving his statement on the sexual harassment allegations leveled against him. Payal wants to get a lie detector, polygraph test and narco analysis of Kashyap done.

In his post on Friday, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and using the Beti Bachao hashtag, Payal tweeted from her verified account, “Mr.Kashyap has lied bfr police in his statement..my Lawyer,is moving an application 2conduct Narco Analysis, Lie Detector Polygraph Test of Mr.kashyap 2find out the truth Today application will be filed to d police station,4 d interest of Justice.”

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap was questioned by the Versova police on Thursday for about eight hours. Anurag has been accused of sexual harassment by the 30-year-old actress and asked the actress to join the investigation on Tuesday. On September 22, the police filed an FIR against Anurag Kashyap for sexual exploitation. The actress had told that all this happened to her when she approached Anurag for work.

Kashyap is charged under sections 376 (I) (rape), 354 (assault or criminal force with intent to humiliate a woman), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 342 (wrongful torture) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Anurag has denied these allegations. On Thursday, Kashyap, accompanied by his lawyer, reached Versova police station at around 10 pm and left at 6 pm.

The filmmaker’s lawyer Priyanka Khimani said in a statement, “Mr. Kashyap has clearly denied any such incident ever happened and he has also denied all the allegations leveled against him.”
