One dead, another injured after bike plunges into bus in Jalgaon

Jalgaon: One person was killed and another injured after their two-wheeler plunged into an ST bus after being hit by a speeding bumper from behind on Tuesday, around 8.30 am outside Siddhivinayak Hospital near Ichcha Devi Chowk. Siddharth Trimbak More (57), resident of Sindhi Colony was killed on spot while his colleague Akshay Vijay Patil (30), resident of Shivam Nagar, Nimkhedi area was left seriously injured, a police official said.

Dheeraj Mohan Dhangar (18, resident of Kadgaon, Jalgaon taluka) has been arrested along with the dumper.

According to sources, Siddharth More was working for Raymond Company. Siddharth asked Akshay for lift to their office when a sand dumper (No. MH04 GA3492) hit the two-wheeler. The two-wheeler then crashed into the Jalgaon-Jamner ST bus.

Siddharth died on spot due to sustaining head injuries and Akshay was critically injured in the accident. Akshay is undergoing treatment at a private hospital, a police official said.
