Now, Tinder for transgenders, new ‘More Genders’ option added

On Tuesday, Tinder declared about the option been added now in Tinder, ‘More Genders’ for the users of the app who are beyond any specific gender of either male or female like the transgenders.

The gender options of which one could choose only one option out of ‘man or woman’, now has a variety of 22 other gender options in India

Tinder which is one of the most prominent dating apps used widely across the nation. There are a lot many other dating apps among which tinder has managed to be one of the most popular of all.

Tinder has now added an option, ‘More Genders’ which has been announced and started on November 12 in line with Transgender Awareness Week, in which users can choose from the below 22 options whichever their gender identity is. This Awareness week will continue till November 19.

Tinder spreading the message across the nation about the rights of the LGBTQ community now reportedly has collaborated with transgender users and ‘The Humsafar Trust’, India’s oldest LGBTQ organization.

Tinder wrote in a Blogspot, “To edit or add more information about your gender on Tinder, simply edit your profile. When you tap “I Am” and select “More” you can type a word that describes your gender identity. You can also select to be shown in searches which best reflect your identity. All users have the option to display their gender on their profile, as well.”

After the Section 377 verdict in favor of LGBTQ community by SC which said, transgenders also have the right to marry their beloved partner, it has been a rejoicing moment for the gay community since then. And after the initiative Tinder has taken, dating and finding mates among the transgender community is also going to be easy.
