#MeToo: AIB co-founder removed from Amazon because……..

NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- The most loved Indian Comedy Group All India Bakchod(AIB) which talks against sexual harassment and is popular among the youngsters because of its creative and innovative content trying to change mindsets of people is now under the targets of #MeToo.

Co-founder of AIB, Gursimran Khamba who was accused of sexual harassment has been removed as writer from the upcoming show ‘Gormint’ to be featured on Amazon Prime India by  Amazon.

Khamba earlier was accused of sexual harassment by an anonymous woman on social media last month. She had accused him of ‘emotional blackmail’ and also that Khamba tried forcing himself on her. Although, Khamba has denied all the allegations on him so far.

After which, AIB has placed him on a temporary leave of absence. Khamba and the team of AIB were preparing for ‘Gormint’, a political satire which was to be featured on Amazon Prime. Gormint is a localised term in India by government.

Not just this, Tanmay Bhatt another co-founder of AIB has also stepped down, confessing the fact that he worked with his another colleague despite knowing that he is accused of sexual harassment.

Amazon Prime India said Khamba, who is on a leave of absence from AIB, had categorically denied violation of consent, saying he had hooked up consensually with the compliant multiple times.

Notably, Utsav Chakravarty, famous comedian and YouTuber, associated with AIB was also alleged of sending obscene content to girls, including adults and minors on which the whole Bollywood entertainment industry was shocked and disturbed.

On October 5 with regard to this case had tweeted, “By harassment, we meant that Utsav called up the person, cried, apologised, putting her in an uncomfortable position. Again, to clarify: this incident was only about the unsolicited picture in question. None of the other allegations were known to us.”

The members of AIB and the stand up comedians who teach about the wrongdoings of society are an inspiration to many youngsters and such incidents do not surely impact people positively!
