#MeToo: After the allegations, Alok Nath ‘untraceable’

MUMBAI: NP NEWS 24 ONLINE- Tanushree Dutta’s nerve to open up about her sexual harassment encounter led to women mustered the courage to come out in the open, naming and shaming the sexual predators.

Few days later, TV writer-producer Vinta Nanda had accused Alok Nath of rape and sexual harassment which took place about 19 years ago. She had recounted her account of rape on Facebook detailing the years of isolation, trauma and depression that she went through.

Recently, she lodged an official police complaint against Alok Nath in Mumbai. After filing the complaint, Vinta said that the police complaint has been accepted by the police as well as thanked the officials for their help.

In the latest development of the case, Oshiwara Policed Station informed that Alok Nath is ‘untraceable’ ever since the FIR.

Police official stated, “There was no one at his house to accept the summons letter issued to him last week. His version is equally important in the case. Last week, we had issued summons to him so that the next level of investigation in the Vinta Nanda case can be initiated but he was not at home. We don’t know where he is!”

Police had gone to Alok’s house but failed to meet him, and reportedly, Alok Nath has gone missing and no one has any idea of his whereabouts.

From Vikas Bahl, Kailash Kher, Anu Malik, Subhash Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Jatin Das and Sajid Khan among others, a lot of prominent personalities like M J Akbar have come under the scanner for their sexual misconduct.
